J. M. Faupel's Bio
Born in El Paso, J. M. Faupel is now based out of Lubbock, Texas.
He began in music at the age of 12, starting with concert band. Over the next six years, he would begin a path toward proficiency in guitar and vocal performance, making his first commercial music release at the age of 22.
Not particularly inspired to write music while in concert band, Faupel had his 'aha' moment while in a guitar class in secondary school. Once he figured out how to string together chords into workable progressions, he realized he had something to say.

Genres to expect are heavy alternative that unifies elements of orchestra and electronic dance music.

Faupel writes without fear of not being innovative, but rather blatantly and shamelessly writes using his inspirations across genres to write the best songs he can. He employs a team of editors for both music and lyrics so that there is always a standard of quality for every release.
Breaking Benjamin has long been Faupel's biggest influence, but in recent years he has been taking inspiration from Taylor Swift's "Reputation" album, the band RED, and video game scores.

Faupel's first release came in 2016 with the EP "Still Breathing." Since then, he has released (2018) "The Smile's You'll Never See Again," (2018) "Apologize (No Excuse) in association with Glow Productions, and (2019) "Metamorphose (ft. Dicodec)."
While singing for various bands, Faupel has headlined shows such as El Paso's Trash Battle Of The Bands and many shows alongside Dicodec, Secrets Of Boris, and Hot Shot KIXXX
Faupel is currently working on his first full length album, "The Still Of Our Dreams."
Along with the album, he has many music collaborations in the works, as well as his debut as a young adult writer, expected in late 2019.
